In full support for this motion. In my opinion including Africa in such a huge decentralized and globalized currency system will benefit Africans and whoever wants to do business.

We need this for Africa. I fully support this proposal

  5. Partnerships and Programs
  6. Partnership discussions with individuals/partners in African countries that are not represented or underrepresented.

Task Number 1 (KPI 1): Develop Free TON Africa media forums

  2. The Sub-governance identified and invited into the Free TON community members from the African society, who are actively engaged in the fields of: Public Relations and Marketing, Finance and Accounting, Publishing & Authorship, Content Design & Development, Education & Training. (All members had some basic IT and crypto knowledge.)

  3. A general orientation of the Free TON ecosystem was extended to willing members of the African community to acclimatize them to its principles and workings, through larger social media presentations for members spread out all over Africa by conducting extensive private, individual and group/zoom/meetup calls, round table briefings and face to face seminars for members in close proximity. (In some instances a door to door policy was adopted as a show of respect to experienced members of the African community being sought to assist with the media inception.)

  4. The most efficient and promising members of the African community who quickly absorbed the Free TON concept were assigned to various working groups being set up in the African Sub governance to perform as Moderating Teams.

Synopsis of Social Media Contests

The African Sub-governance together with the Media team have considered carrying out 2 social media contests every month. This will not be empty contests but as vital tools in education, research, survey and marketing in the following approaches:

  1. Finding out the level of interest of the Free TON project among the joined up members by counting the number of total number of contestants taking part versus the total number of joined up Free TON members.
  2. Using the 20/80 rule, identify members who can be called upon in case an all hands on deck situation arises for an important African sub-governance event.
  3. To hasten the understanding of the Free TON blockchain among members and non members by practically involving them in simple contests that not only earn them rewards but train them on performing certain tasks in the blockchain like learning how to create a TON Surf Wallet, or creating Proposals and campaigns in the forums or Authoring and translating documents in the Wiki and eventually creating their own Dapps and trading TONs in the DEXs.
  4. Partnerships and Proposals will also be advertised through Social Media Contests so that members can do proper research in the forums before they get any reward. This will heighten their awareness of the Free TON project as they browse through various global partnerships, programs and proposals.
  5. Co-operation of Social Media contests with other Global partnerships to expose Africa to the rest of the Global community and vice versa.

Social Media Chartbuster Contest

This was conceived with the main aim being an orientation of the African community, on basic contestant requirements and also drive creation of new TON Surf Wallets.

Here is the link to show requirement of creating a TON Surf Wallet:

  1. VIDEO & ANIMATIONS TEAM

a) With the realization that a lot of blockchain technology and terms are fairly new to members in the African continent, the African Sub-governance envisaged the prospect of reducing the amount of technical documents being released to the masses and replacing them with simple educational videos and animations.

b) A video editing and animations team has been recruited and trained on global Free TON principles and is actively engaged in assisting the simplification of Free TON Africa activities and information dissemination through their craft.

This slightly differs from the original schedule, but that’s understandable when you learn along the way and realize there are more tools and options at your disposal as the network grows and offers other avenues for value-adds. But this is why I personally am not a big fan of timeline-based roadmaps in subgovs. Rather KPI-based ones work far better, because things happen along the way that can amend timelines but add new opportunities and thereby better KPIs, i.e., underestimate and overdeliver.

In this case I see you’re keeping your fingers on the pulse of what’s happening and incorporating that in your plans. A rare sight indeed  Can’t say I’m not impressed.

This subgov WORKS! Gotta love work.

Maybe just get rid of a few “yucky” centralized words like “budget” and also please check the wording in your intro, specifically, “This shall include identifying key pillars that the Sub governance want to pursue in this second quarter of the year 2021.” It’s Q3 guys! Q4 starts in October :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes: I know I’m just nitpicking, but I guess I’m just neurotic when it comes to details.

Anyway, all for it. Great job so far!
