What is Free TON Wiki now?

What did the Wiki team do?
A quality control system for articles and translations was set up. Now each original article (type of work “content creation”) is pre-checked by a team of review editors for uniqueness, style, grammar, spelling and punctuation. Each translation (type of work “translation”) is checked for a percentage of machine translation. A threshold was set for machine translation (different for Slavic and non-Slavic languages). For each contest, a publicly available summary spreadsheet with article checks is published. This spreadsheet assists the judges with their marks.
The quality of the articles has improved due to the editorial checks of each work.
Editors tags have been added, which are short editors’ comments at the bottom of an article, to help readers see a rating for the relevance and quality of the article.
For the convenience and quick navigation of the authors, the worksheets were reorganized and all the information on working on the Wiki was structured. An article creation guide and formatting tips have been created for new authors. The attentive chat support team quickly answers any questions.
A new Wiki Members lineup was recruited, resulting in more active members from the international community.
New voting requirements have been introduced in the Wiki Renewal Contest and increased responsibility for judges.
A migration was made to the modern mediawiki engine, which uses Wikipedia. The statistics system Google Analytics is used to analyze traffic on the Wiki website. The structure of the Wiki has been greatly improved, including:
- All articles are assigned categories;
- Updated old articles and added new aggregator pages for articles of homogeneous categories;
- Interlanguage interwiki links made;
- Each month, new articles are assigned categories and cross-language links.
All innovations and important announcements are regularly published in two news channels in Telegram (in Russian and English). From June 2021, the Free TON Wiki has been posted on Twitter. Topics have been created and maintained on popular crypto forums such as CryptoTalk, BitcoinTalk, AltCoinsTalks, Bitcoin Garden.
The number of authors, translators and native speakers has grown by almost 50 new members. The size of the Wiki community has grown. The number of works submitted for contests from authors and translators has grown from an average of 20 submissions to over 100 submissions now.
In response to a community request, in late August and early September 2021, the Wiki translation team translated the draft Free TON Whitepaper into Russian in a short time frame.

Что сделала команда Wiki?
Настроена система контроля качества статей и переводов. Теперь каждая оригинальная статья (тип работы “content creation”) предварительно проверяется командой ревью редакторов на уникальность, стиль, грамматику, орфографию и пунктуацию. Каждый перевод (тип работы “translation”) проверяется на процент машинного перевода. Установлен порог допустимости машинного перевода (различно для славянских и неславянских языков). Для каждого конкурса публикуется доступная для всех итоговая электронная таблица с проверками статей. Эта электронная таблица помогает судьям при выставлении оценок.
Качество статей выросло благодаря редакторским проверкам каждой работы.
Были добавлены метки редакторов, которые представляют собой короткие комментарии редакторов внизу статьи, чтобы помочь читателям увидеть оценку актуальности и качества статьи.
Для удобства и быстрой навигации авторов была проведена реорганизация рабочих таблиц и структурирована вся информация по работе на Wiki. Для новых авторов создан гайд по созданию статей и подсказки по форматированию. Внимательная служба поддержки в чатах быстро отвечает на любые вопросы.
Набран новый состав Wiki Members, в результате чего появилось больше активных мемберов, представляющих международное комьюнити.
Введены новые требования по голосованию в конкурсах WRC (Wiki Renewal Contest) и повышена ответственность для судей.
Сделана миграция на современный движок mediawiki, который использует Wikipedia. Для анализа трафика вебсайта Wiki используется система статистики Google Analytics. Была значительно улучшена структура Wiki, включая:
- За всеми статьями закреплены категории;
- Обновлены старые статьи и добавлены новые страницы-агрегаторы для статей однородных категорий;
- Сделаны межъязыковые интервики-ссылки;
- Каждый месяц за новыми статьями закрепляются категории и межъязыковые ссылки.
Все нововведения и важные анонсы регулярно выходят в двух новостных каналах в Telegram (на русском и английском). С июня 2021 новости Free TON Wiki выходят в Twitter. Были созданы и поддерживаются тематические топики на популярных крипто форумах, таких как CryptoTalk, BitcoinTalk, AltCoinsTalks, BitcoinGarden.
Количество авторов, переводчиков и носителей языка выросло почти на 50 новых участников. Увеличился размер Wiki сообщества. Количество поданных на конкурсы работ от авторов и переводчиков выросло с 20 заявок в среднем до более 100 заявок сейчас.
Откликаясь на просьбу сообщества, в конце августа — начале сентября 2021 команда переводчиков Wiki перевела черновик Free TON Whitepaper на русский язык в короткие сроки.
