Country Ambassadors for Free TON Stage 1: Ambassador Selection [10-24.08.2020.]

Description:

Advertising, marketing and promotion in general throughout different countries and demographics is required for Free TON adoption.

The Ambassador program calls on knowledgeable leaders who have geographically diverse backgrounds and respective audiences and languages to do their part to promote the Free TON network among and throughout their respective user pools.

To be effective, this contest is broken down into 2 stages. Stage 1 will select Ambassadors while Stage 2 will judge Ambassador performance to deliver what is promised in Stage 1. Stage 2 will be announced after Stage 1 is complete.

Type:

Contest

Contest entry period:

August 10, 2020 12.00 P.M UTC - August 26, 2020, 24.00 P.M UTC.

Motivation:

Increase user adoption and media recognition through marketing and promotion throughout various countries and regions in order to increase the number of Free TON enthusiasts and users from around the world. Think “adoption”.

To accomplish this, first a group of Ambassadors must be selected along with their clearly projected goals, followed by a second contest in which these Ambassadors will be asked to deliver based on those goals, all for tokens.

Ambassador requirements

  1. CV: Candidates who would like to become Ambassadors need to submit a 1-page CV (in the form of a PDF file) describing their background, credentials, reputation, country or geographical region that they want to represent, and a short description of why they feel they are best suited to be an Ambassador/why they should be selected.

  2. KPIs: Candidates who would like to be selected must also provide an additional page/s that describes what they intend to do in order to promote Free TON. Each of these intended activities must be supported with anticipated KPIs (key performance indicators) that the Ambassador will then have to perform during Stage 2. These KPIs will determine the winners of Stage 2, which must be met in order to win the advertised rewards (below). Performance deliverables can include, but are not limited to:

  • Represent Free TON at a hackathon
  • Create content (articles, news, reviews of written and video materials on the web, create blogs, create videos, have articles published by 3rd party publications, infographics, translations, etc.) in any media.
  • Facilitate meetups (webinars, conferences, podcasts, etc.) in any media.
  • Community development (social media, chats, groups, etc.) through any media.
  • And so on. Be creative!

Upcoming Stage 2 future snapshot for reference:

  1. Based on anticipated KPIs from Stage 1, each Ambassador will be expected to successfully perform their projected tasks over the course of Stage 2.

  2. All performed tasks will need to be logged and documented complete with statistics (number of people reached, brought to Free TON, results of all kinds, etc.) so that they leave no room for ambiguity as to the quality of performance. This should include links to work performed, goals (KPIs) met, and be presented professionally and elegantly.

  3. The submission itself should be in PDF format. Please try to keep it to a reasonable length (1 to 3 pages in total) using links to your work rather than outlining everything in one document.

Evaluation and winning criteria Stage 1

  1. Public and professional reputation is a major consideration. This is a measurable tool to help determine capability of performance as well as motivation, since nonperformance or poor performance may result in lowering a candidate’s reputation should they underperform in Stage 2.

  2. Background, knowledge and credentials that demonstrate ability to perform.

  3. KPI forecast that can help predict positive outcome: promotion and user outreach potential.

Stage 2 future expectations snapshot for reference:

  1. Meet (and hopefully exceed) all KPIs promised in Stage 1. Unmet KPIs may render your submission as rejected.

  2. Quality of submission: follow the requirement guidelines described including logging your work, results, statistical data – including (if applicable) user reach and user increase numbers, as well as submission format. Everything should be easily verifiable.

Voting

  • Each of the initial Free TON jurors can vote on your submission. Jurors whose team(s) intend to participate in this contest by providing submissions lose their right to vote in this contest.
  • Each juror will vote by rating each submission on a scale of 0 to 10 or can choose to reject it if it does not meet requirements, or they can choose to abstain from voting if they feel unqualified to judge.
  • Jurors will provide feedback on your submissions.
  • Duplicate, sub par, incomplete or inappropriate submissions will be rejected.

Winner rewards Stage 1

1,000 Tons each one of the first 20 inducted Ambassadors as a welcome reward.

Stage 2 future rewards snapshot for reference:

1st prize: 200,000 tokens

2nd - 5th prize: 100,000 tokens each

6th - 10th prize: 50,000 tokens each

11th - 20th prize: 25,000 tokens each

!!! Stage 2 rewards do not apply in Stage 1 !!!

Jury rewards Stage 1

An amount equal to 100% of the sum total of all total tokens actually awarded to winners of this Stage 1 contest will be divided equally between all jurors who vote and provide feedback. Both voting and feedback are mandatory in order to collect this reward.

Procedural reminders to all contestants

  • Contestants must upload their work correctly so it can be viewed and accessible in the formats described. If work is inaccessible or does not fit the criteria described, the submission may be rejected by jurors.

  • Contestants must submit their work before the closing of the filing of applications. If not submitted on time, the submission will not count.

Disclaimer

Anyone can participate, but Free TON cannot distribute tokens to US citizens or US entities.

@Roman_D is not a new idea. Many projects make such programs. But I can say that it works well.

I like it! Good idea.

I’m glad you like it. If we give these tasks to the ambassadors, we can benefit more from the program. because the ambassadors will create these contents as a team, not like a media company. In this way, we have content all over the world and everybody hears our voices. all we need to do is find the ambassadors of big interaction. if you allow me, I can create a real program. And I can issue an ambassador’s entry document. but still this is an idea. it is up to the community to implement it.

Why not draft a contest proposal in the style and format as we’ve used? After all, you draft, it gets proposed, then comes debate, and then it’s either accepted or not. We need to make more contests and distribute tokens, so yes, absolutely.

Sounds good!

Did the team discuss this idea?

Great idea. Although perhaps the proposed TON figures are a bit high. Yesterday with 10 TON they bought us a pizza

nice idea ,but how to do it?

Everyone, please see the proposal again. It has been redone and looks correct now. I think it answers the question, “How do we get this done?” It’s broken into 2 stages. Stage 1 is Ambassador selection. After Stage 1 is complete and Ambassadors are chosen comes stage 2: performance. Makes sense.

When is it planned to enter the active phase of the contest?

We should wait for a voting process. For now, if you have any comments, you can suggest it to the creator of this contest

I think it’s too early to start the stage of collecting applications from those wishing to become ambassadors! Here is only one subjective opinion on how ambassadors should be selected, what they should do and how to control them.
First, I propose to appoint a contest for the “design of the ambassador program” and choose the best idea or form it from several top proposals.
And just after that, proceed to the stage of collecting applications, etc.

Почему бы не попросить Павла Дурова?

Hello! You got nice proposal! What do you think about this one? -

I think it needs to be separate. This stage 1 contest will essentially give the community a lot of the same feedback that yours proposes. Let’s rally to get this one fired up and then see where things go.

Hint: there are at least a few country organizers that have been thirsting for this contest. But we have to break it up into 2 stages in order to make it work right.
