What about those actively helping people who answered in Free TON group chats before the start of this contest? I think it would be fair to say thanks to them too, because they helped admins a lot in early days of the project when
there was a lot of mess in community (personally I’m not among them because I’m an admin myself :)). I think it’s fair to give these great guys some tokens just to thank them for being here and helping others so much!

I agree with you, but it needs some mechanism and a pre-defined model to be transparent and doable in a decentralized way.

How often you answered user questions

I have only the main question for the competition. How will the fake activity be monitored? Nothing prevents you from creating many accounts and answering them, then earn reputation and show it is as proof.

I think that there must be some mechanism for this.

I agree with @Roman_D also. dear @XLR25t, it needs a mechanism for scoring the activity of admins and so on. currently many chat groups exists in telegram about programming languages and other stuff that users freely answering the members.
freeTON also have passionate users to help others, so the admins are not forced to answer all questions.
beside, this forum can have a Q&A with different categories so the answers remain here and enrich the forum gradually.
for exmaple : for these kind of works you should remunerate monthly not a fixed money all at once in a contest model.
in addition to having some issues ,I think the contest model is not suitable for these kind of works and it is better to remove it.

Doing a decentralized support in centralized solution is kinda weird…

Oh yes, definitely. 100%! Will make adjustments in the contest proposal.

Agreed. This should be one of the criteria. Will add to proposal

Well a scoring mechanism would be good, but that is up to the supporter/s to come up with one, hence the idea of the contest, which should also answer the question regarding why run a contest. But to start, perhaps just a link to the work performed is sufficient, at least at the start…? I agree that ongoing rewards are absolutely important, but again, Free TON is not a company. It’s a community. The only way to reward is with tokens and the only way to get tokens (for now) is to participate in contests. What I suggest is to keep recycling the contest every X weeks and adjust and amend it based on successes and failures and feedback like yours.

Where do you see a centralized solution in this?

Okay, I read all the comments and gave this some thought. I propose that I rework this contest to reflect the work that has ALREADY been done up until today’s date, May 27. The next contest will be for everyone.

OK, it seems that you also know the issues and bugs of remunerating the groups/forum supporters with this method of contest, and just selected this method as a quick and dirty solution.
OK, nice I wish it is just for start as you mentioned to have a quick kick start, and very soon we have a contest title such as “decentralized support mechanics” similar to this contest for airdrop.

In my opinion, the competition should be divided into several stages.

  1. Stage. We should create a randomized Google form with the most common questions from users for potential candidates.

We will choose people with the highest percentage of answers. After this the Jury should vote for candidates.

  1. Stage. Chosen candidates help to chat with answers to questions. For example, 100 responses over some period.

Then the Jury should vote for candidates again.

  1. Stage. We give them minimum moderator rights. Then we create a 24 hours schedule of moderators. We cover 7/24. After a certain period of time, we make voting again, if everything is ok, then they should be rewarded and stay in current position, those who fail should leave.

Also, we should take into account that people who have already helped earlier in the group should have an advantage because they spent much more time and effort at the start when there was chaos in the chats.

It would also be great to clearly understand the number of admins that we needed. For example:

Chinese chat - 1 admin;
Korean chat - 1 admin;
English chat - 2 two admins, etc.
