It is just unfortunate that those who sent messages to the TON surf group are the ones consider as testers. When I joined the TON secret test group initially everything was strange to me cos I find it difficult to comprehend most of the messages was in Russia. I had wanted to complain of my experience with the TON surf then. I sent complain to the support. I was trying to access my Public key, I thought that could be a bug or may is from my network. In a nutshell what I am saying some people actually test without posting on the group.
There was a person who tried to scam people, pretending to be me - TON Surf testers reward for the beta testing period
Due to some personal unexpected background going on at the time of application, I was physically unable to contact the contest creator. Yesterday I have sent a message to the content creator with my wallet address and described the situation. I think it would be fair to give rewards to people who are “late to the party”. You can see my Telegram tag on the #9 place on the above list.
Guys, you must understand that somewhere we need to draw THE line. Endless revisions of competitions will sooner or later start to cause allergies in the community. It is entirely the responsibility of a potential candidate to follow the contests and to manage to take part in them.
You snooze, you lose.
P.S.: You can only appeal to one thing: this contest never had an active status here on the forum, but nevertheless ended with the payment of rewards.
I totally get what you were trying to say here, but at the same time, don’t you think that this “contest” is kind of different from the others? It wasn’t made for competition and the best solution ever possible, it was made for the people who put some effort at the stage of beta testing of TON Surf, who helped with enhancing the overall experience of TON Surf. There’s no visible difference between all the members, even though someone actually made a greater job than me and you with the testing process, collecting bugs & providing interesting additions to the Surf. The reward was made equal - 1000 TONs for every member who actually did something.
Then, if the list already existed and posted on the above, if the members were already mentioned for their effort, if the governance agreed on the fact that they will reward people specifically on this, why it’s not fair to extend the 5-day time window? You’re trying to create a competition where it shouldn’t really exist. Fair point, no?

I may be misunderstanding the whole concept, but I see a small conflict in these words: you say, we should reward someone who genuinely doesn’t wait to be rewarded for the things he or she has done, but at the same time you mention this “you snooze, you lose”. So, in your vision, how the people should act? They didn’t expect to be on the list with rewards, yet they’re late probably because they didn’t notice/weren’t there(my case) and they wouldn’t get anything even with the fact that their effort was accepted.
Yes, giving rewards to the most “worthy, kind”(select any words you like) people in any project in human history would be a good thing to have, but it reminds me of meritocracy. It may look good on the paper, but it’s a difficult & vulnerable concept. It’s more of expecting a miracle, I should say.
There is no conflict. The community decides to reward somebody and ask him to accept this reward by publishing his TON address in certain time window. This is a common practice. Think of it as a winning lottery ticket. It burns out after 30 days, maximum a couple of years, if it is not revealed in the lottery department.

I, perhaps, agree with those who said that the winners have already been identified and included in the list. Some life circumstances just happened so that they did not submit the necessary data on time. After all, the main conditions and the period for which the sample was taken are not violated. The list has been updated by those who confirmed after October 20 and at the end of the week I will publish a table with wallet addresses for submission to the jury vote. По просьбе многих участников, которые по каким-либо причинам опоздали до 20 октября прислать адрес кошелька и юзернейм Телеграм для выплат вознаграждения или подтвердить свое право на награду, предлагается запустить для них повторно это конкурсное предложение. Все таки, почти 40% потенциальных победителей осталось без призов, а это не мало.
В принципе, я соглашусь с теми, кто говорил, что победители все равно уже определены и внесены в список. Просто так сложились у некоторых жизненные обстоятельства, что вовремя не подали необходимые данные. Ведь главные условия и период, за который бралась выборка – не нарушены. Но у некоторых были действительно весомые причины опоздания. Кто захочет – расскажет сам.
Список обновлен теми, кто подтверждал после 20 октября и в конце недели я опубликую таблицу с адресами кошельков для подачи на голосование жюри. Поэтому, те, кто еще не прислал мне в Telegram необходимую информацию (таких осталось не очень много) – до пятницы 13 ноября прошу прислать.

I m think that people who late - for some reasons, important or not - still should be eligible for reward. Why?
I m vote for second call - and this time it s FINAL. Who dont give their addresses up to some date - miss the train.

Yes, yes and yes. I totally agree. We must give the rewards to the members, they already deserve them, just because there are people who were unable to send their wallets, doesn’t mean that they’re supposed to lose their impact & spent time on the whole development of TON Surf. We shouldn’t make people disappointed about the Free TON, shouldn’t make them feel hopeless, there must be discussion and there must be decisions, otherwise, we will lose the potential impact of such members in the future and will lose their trust(and not only theirs).
I am absolutely sure this is important to push this proposal forward based on 2 things:

I think that people who have not received the promotion need to give it out. They deserve it. Only 60% received a reward. I think there will be justice!

re-considering those who weren’t able to send their addresses on time is really considerate and supportive thing to do for all participants(beta testers or not). It encourages everyone to do whatever they can for this project in every way and it gives them hope to able to earn what they’ve worked for. This is a really good decision made and I hope the jury accepts it.
