Free TON Web & Design Sub-Governance

Dear community and governance members, I am happy to announce this proposal on behalf of Free TON Web & Design initiative group.

Free TON Web & Design Sub-Governance

Description

This document describes a way to achieve governance in the design similar to https://gov.freeton.org for tasks like UI/UX design and development of the website, illustrations and other digital materials.

The goal is to provide end users of websites, applications, articles and other information products with quality design, illustrations and navigation and further enhance digital user experience and effectiveness of information processing.

General Goals

The goal of this Sub-Governance is to create and support:

a) a decentralized structure and a transparent process for managing the visual part of the ecosystem;

b) an accessible design platform for systematic performance of design tasks.

Main Tasks

  1. To accelerate the time to market for products within the ecosystem through design support for initiatives: design tokenization, implementation of design processes.

  2. To increase the availability, convenience and quality of products by implementing the Sub-Governance participants experience: selecting the Jury, onboarding new teams, supporting current projects.

  3. Develop a uniform graphic language for the ecosystem and provide for its evolution: ready-made design kits, libraries, components.

  4. Increase the popularity of the products through involvement of creative people in the contests and their activity.

Current Proposal

It is proposed to create an on-chain governance for Web & Design Sub-Governance and accomplish the following goals:

  1. Free TON Web & Design Initial Members should be appointed to form the initial Free TON Web & Design Sub-Governance and Jury. This initial entry list assumes all responsibilities of the Free TON Web & Design Jury and is to launch a Free TON Web & Design Jury Contest.

  2. A mechanism for the Free TON Web & Design Contests should be implemented with the main purpose – to enhance all visual and digital communications of the network.

  3. Free TON Web & Design Sub-Governance should host a Telegram group where members, the Jury and other involved parties would develop, discuss and formulate plans and proposals for the Sub-Governance.

  4. Essential contests should be held for purposes of enhancing visual clarity of the website, the brand book, the application, illustrations and all other forms of design materials.

  5. Proposals should be passed through discussion stages in the Telegram group and on the Forum, should be posted correctly on-chain with the necessary deadlines and should be voted by the Jury members after the contestants publish their results.

  6. A Free TON Web & Design Jury Contest should be held to select the group of the Free TON Web & Design Jury. The main duty of the Free TON Web & Design Jury should be to vote for Free TON Web & Design Sub-Governance proposals .

Хорошее предложение, только когда вы успели скооперироваться? Я не видел нигде и никакого обсуждения. Может ещё найдутся люди которые хотят участвовать как инишиалы.

This is decentralization, we have united, called together and came up with such a project, we can do it too, no one is against it, everybody is for it! but it is better to involve at least one member of TON Labs in the team otherwise the proposal will not pass.

I’m in! Recently participated in Landing page contest. Also got similar idea to creation design community (even reserved the names of telegram channels )

What I need to do for join in?

Definitely supporting this idea, haven’t submitted anything design-related in Free TON yet, but submitted some design works in Keep and received rewards for it 3 months in a row.
Design, UI, UX, visual identity is very important part of people’s impression and experience in using Free TON itself and projects that are built on it.

Hello, everybody!
My name is Ivan, I am 23 years old, at the moment I am taking the position of UX designer in a good international digital agency, interested in developing myself in the direction of Product Design. I have 3 years of experience as a web designer, another year in related fields - retouching, printing.
I am interested in advanced technologies (ml, blockchain ar/vr), cognitive science and art.

I lead several channels in a telegram where I share interesting, in my opinion, discoveries from my information field. I have about 800 subscribers on my main telegram channel, most of them are designers, developers, and also several connections with authors of large telegram channels on design and technology fields.

I have also been interested in blockchain technology since 2017. I’ve studied the possibility of participating in the Open Source Design, so I’ll be very happy to take part in development design community around Free TON.

The first contest within this sub-governance (any sub, really) will be the contest for jury members. So, everyone who is interested in taking part in the design movement within Free TON can submit and join the sub-governance.

AT this point, it’s essential to launch the sub-gov to start gathering, cataloguing and putting in order all the materials available and needed.

I think we have a lot of similar Subgovernances. We Ambassadors Subgovernance and Subgovernance SMM. I think you need to cooperate with these and others SubGovernances.
Also I think that one of the criteria should be design integration. Design Subgovernance without implementation doesn’t make much sense. Also, work should be useful and if people do the same thing and it will not be implemented, then this also does not make much sense.
We have already had contests for the design of stickers, pictures, landig pages, wallets. I think it’s important not to duplicate what has already happened.

I am still a new member in this forum and I do not have much information about the project of this forum in the field of crypto and its purpose, and I hope the old members explain the purpose of the free ton forum

Жду с нетерпением возможности стать членом жюри! Я люблю искусство и дизайн. Принимала участие в конкурсе соц.медиа. Я уверена, что буду полезна сообществу.

I believe that the idea of creating a subgovernance is better than merging it with other governances. If you have any tasks or contests, the participants of design subgovernance will in any case be able to participate, of course governances will communicate and help to each other, because we are all here for one purpose.

But as the web design field is so wide, we will get a mishmash of content. I would not like to develop design culture in a mix with SMM. I mean that It will complicate the work and cooperation of designers. After all, these are so different areas.

What is this? https://t.me/FreeTONDesignSG You basically took the sub-gov and cut a bunch of members off and created another group and are now presenting your proposal as members of that group? No no no. This can’t fly. Whatever this group is, I have no idea what it is doing here.

Seems like this link mentioned in the proposal. So what happend? Can you please explain?

Really, let’s discuss the creation of this desired subgovernance. I already missed one competition due to its absence :grinning:
