a big competition that covers everyone sounds good. Everyone who contributes to the forum should be rewarded. One of the most effective ways to do this may be to organize such a general competition. I think free ton will reach a good community in the future and have a strong position. I don’t mind missing the contest date. I find it more important to win the forum.

Early Influencers Rewards
Important Note:
This is a one-time contest (for previous activities only- activities till Sep 15,2020) and there are no plans for it to be repeated.
Description:
This contest is designed to thank the forum members based on (and proportional to) their past effective activities. Let’s be thankful for the activities which have been done without any expectations.
Type:
One-time contest
Dates and Submission Process

Nov 15, 2020 – End of Nov 25, 2020 (UTC time). You should submit your surf receive address within this time frame. Otherwise, no rewards will be provided for you.

Send your surf address on the forum (this proposal page) and then refer to this post during the submission.

The surf address mentioned in the pdf file submitted and on the forum post should be the same. Otherwise, no rewards will be provided for you.
Important Note:
The forum activity up to the end of 14th Sep 2020 (UTC time) will be considered only. To avoid spam activity on the forum, the activities after 14th Sep 2020 will have no value in this contest.
Rewards:
The reward of each participant will be calculated based on the following formula:
Reward= (Time Read in Hours) [(Received Likes)+10 (Topic Created)] in TONs
Time Read less than 60 minutes => Time Read in Hour=0
Time Read equal to 1 day => Time Read in Hour=24
Time Read equal to 2 days => Time Read in Hour=48
Time Read equal to 3 days => Time Read in Hour=72
The participant will not get rewarded if his/her reward (based on the formal mentioned above) is less than 100 TONs.
If the rewards of some guys gets greater than 10 000 TONs, their rewards will be reduced to the values lower than 10 000 TONs. There should be a small difference among these rewards so that the rank still remains unchanged.
It means that only 80 most active forum members (See the list below) will be allowed to participate. The total distributed rewards will be equal to 94052 TONs.
Disclaimer:
Any supporter can participate, but Free TON cannot distribute TONs to US citizens or US entities.

Good proposal. But sum seems a qiite big sum. I think we need reduce amount of tokens in formula. On the other hand how to avoid fake activity?

What in God’s name!?
Everyone… pretty soon we’ll be handing out tokens for people showing up to comment in chats. This is robbery. Of course everyone will support getting tokens for likes. Why not? I mean I opened my eyes this morning, why shouldn’t I get paid?
This kind of thing is a HORRIBLE idea and wold set a TERRIBLE precedent. This is a giveaway, not a contest. It goes against everything that Free TON stands for by giving tokens away rather than on the basis of earning them. There is no “forum support”. Forum support is already supported by the admins. Putting likes and leaving comments is everyone’s responsibility as interested members of a community. It’s not a job. It’s not work.
This is really not good.
And don’t compare this to “Crypto Angels,” because that is a whole other thing entirely. They actually supported the Ludi game, which meant actual work. Someone thinks they deserve tokens for likes? I am a bit shocked.

I do not completely agree. We have to reward the participants who support the project from the very beginning, invest their effort and time and believe in its success. Such people bear the high risks and have to be rewarded. Not everyone has possibility to win the contests and receive commissions from validations/subgovernances. Reward amounts are not too high, but it will defined bring some motivation and involvement into in-project activities.

Despite the fact that I’m on the list, I’m okay with you. However, here is a simple question to answer: who will voluntarily forgo hundreds or even thousands of $$? There’s a cake on the table - the community will continually look for ways to bite off a piece. As long as the community decides for itself. Let’s describe it in that way - if Airdrop does not go to the Community, then the Community goes to Airdrop

I do understand your concerns, but as mentioned in the new version of the proposal(Forum Supporters Contest), this contest is for previous activities (till Sep 15, 2015) and is a one-time contest and will never repeat to avoid spamming.
In addition, the reward is not for giving likes, but for likes received. I think if somebody puts a comment or create a topic and others find it interesting and useful and give him/her a like, so he/she has influence in growing the community. Free TON has found its right strategy based on such useful and interesting comments and topics.

I’m glad that a contest that was submitted by a simple community member gets so much support from the community.
Also, at first glance, it may seem that the awards are not fair. But here you need to assess the situation deeper - the participants who are nominated are early supporters of Free TON and devote a lot of time to the project. I am sure that the actions of these proponents are not limited to the forum only. But the statistics used to calculate the awards show the involvement of these people in the project. Therefore, the awards are fair. During the period of time that statistics were collected, there was no bounty program and other things, and important issues were discussed on the forum. The process itself was born. It is important. This will give additional motivation to these people, as well as new members
