Each juror will vote by rating each submission on a scale of 0 to 10 or can choose to reject it if it does not meet requirements, or they can choose to abstain from voting if they feel unqualified to judge.
Jurors will provide feedback on each submission they vote/reject for.
Reward (new system test)
Prizes’ grid according to the level of difficulty of the contest:
In this case, all participants who have scored from 3 and above will receive prizes.
Free TON Christmas/New Year greeting card design: Contest difficulty level - 5.
The size of the prize is determined in accordance with the average point gained.
The prize fund cannot be determined in advance - it is calculated after voting.
Jury rewards
An amount equal to 10% of the sum total of all total tokens actually awarded will be distributed equally between all jurors who vote and provide feedback. Both voting and feedback are mandatory in order to collect the reward.
Procedural remarks
Participants must upload their work in a PDF file which should contain contact information (telegram username), the design itself and a link to Google Drive, Yandex.DIsk or any other file sharing service to standalone image(s) in the format(s) described. No archives are allowed.
If work is inaccessible or does not fit the criteria described, the submission may be void by jurors.
Participants must submit their work before the closing of the filing of applications. If not submitted on time, the submission will not count.
If the number of participants is less than the amount of prizes available, the excess prize awards are void.
Disclaimer
Anyone can participate, but Free TON cannot distribute Tons to US citizens or US entities.
If the community wants to support this contest, it is necessary to be limited budget and number of prize places! Otherwise, we will receive an Army of works from the same people, but all these works can not be used yet.
For the first place, the award can be 3K tokens, a few more prize with a smaller budget and plus consolation rewards for the rest of the participants.
But not with this proposed model, otherwise we will receive hundreds of submissions and not used works and in additives budget competition in hundreds of thousands of tokens on some postcard
If you need a way with a limited budget, in which all the people who have done high-quality work will be satisfied, I want to offer.
This method takes into account:
Minimum passing score to sift out poor quality work.
Limited prize fund.
Unlimited number of prize-winning places. For example, when there are only ten places, at 10 and 11 places may be good works, but with a difference of 0.1 points 11 place will not get anything.
Motivation to do quality work and get a high score.
Distribution of the prize pool as a percentage based on the minimum required score in the contest. Example (numbers are conditional)
All participants with a score of 7.5+ share 45% of the prize pool.
All participants with a score of 5.5+ share 30% of the prize pool.
All participants with a score of 3.5+ share 25% of the prize pool.
If the minimum score of all participants is 5.5+, the percentage changes. For example, a 40 / 60.
If everyone has a minimum score of 7.5+, it is distributed among all participants.
If there are few participants in the contest, the maximum allowed prize amount per person is set, so that there are no staged results with a large % distribution to one participant.
Or the maximum prize amount per participant can be set in advance as a limiter, taking into account the total prize pool.
@everyone, thank you for your comments - please, go on with proposing reward models. It’s very interesting to read and, might be, cards contest could be a great playground for one of them.
In contests related to design, visual, creativity, when it is very difficult sometimes to clearly define the “coolest” option. Because they can be completely different and cool at the same time. Each in its own way. I propose to consider the proposed model in this topic Prizes and contest. The method of distribution of awards
