Ambassador Subgovernance Proposal: Split of Team and Budget

General description

This document proposes the split of the Free TON Ambassador Subgovernance team and budget into two functionally independent teams with their own area of responsibility and their own share of the budget, subject to the conditions defined below.

The goal of the division is to make Ambassador Subgovernance work more efficiently and achieve better results for each of the new teams.

Procedural remarks

Splitting a team does not affect the composition of the Initial (Secondary) Members and their Subgovernance membership.

Some of the Initial (Secondary) Members may remain neutral (abstain) and not join any of the new teams. Any of these neutral members may in the future join any team.

Significant decisions for Subgovernance activities (including but not limited to membership changes) remain under general control and require a vote by all Subgovernance members.

Other parts of Subgovernance not split in this document remain under general control. However, this does not preclude in the future the split of any other parts of the Subgovernance (including, but not limited to, the composition of the membership and the composition of the jury), if an appropriate proposal for such a split is accepted.

All other Subgovernance procedures that are not mentioned in this document are governed by the procedure set out in the Ambassador Subgovernance Proposal.

Team One

Team One with the following Initial (Secondary) Members will be split:

Team One now receives 65% of the total Subgovernance budget across all expense items (excluding Subgovernance Launch).

The Subgovernance Launch budget line is allocated separately and is 100,000 Tons for this team.

Team One also takes over the Country Ambassador Contest Stage #2 implementation and receives an appropriate share of the budget as agreed between the teams.

Team Two now receive 35% of the total Subgovernance budget across all expense items (excluding Subgovernance Launch).

The Subgovernance Launch budget line is allocated separately and is 200,000 Tons for this team.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Team Two will independently compensate its member for the costs associated with the payment of the bounty campaign from his own funds.

NB: The total is 2,950,000 Tons (2,015,000 + 935,000 = 2,950,000) as previously determined in the Ambassador Subgovernance total budget.

Budget payment procedure

For each team, a separate multisig address must be created with the right to sign only for members of the corresponding team, according to the list of members of each team above.

All budgetary payments for Ambassador Subgovernance must be split into appropriate shares and transferred to these two multisig addresses directly, bypassing the general Subgovernance multisig address that was originally created.

Subgovernance split opportunity

Any of the teams has the right in the future to split into an independent Subgovernance on terms that will be additionally specified in the corresponding Subgovernance Split Proposal.

To be honest, I have to say that I like all these guys (both teams) and I wish we could see both teams together. But if it is expedient in this separation , I support this proposal.

It is strange that this issue was not explained in the video session. I am not interested in the personal reasons (or other reasons that do not concern the public) of this division, but how it will affect other members who have recently been elected. Which division do the new jury members now belong to?

I noticed some irregularities earlier of some persons among the initial members of ASG not carrying others along. I had wanted to complain but I thought maybe it is a matter of sharing responsibilities. I just wish things shouldn’t have taken this direction. If this is the only way to settle this then my hands are cross. So which team will the newly elected jury member work with?

I created all the documentation and ran Wiki and Ambassador Subgovernances, believe me, I know how it works.

I affirm that members of the Subgovernance can make any decisions, including split. In addition, representatives of the main Governancehave recently suggested that we do it ourselves.

Huge Risk for the Free TON Decentralized Governance Principles: Stop this practice!

I think you are misinterpreting this somewhat. The Ambassadors sub-gov’s budget was suspended due to internal turmoil that is well public by now. It is no longer up to your sub-gov to determine how a budget you are no longer owed gets split. Instead it is up to you to make new proposals to the global governance. That’s the part you skipped over. At this moment the vote isn’t the sub-govs, it’s global govs.

i am actually curious with total fund that spended in this project developtment, why this freeton easily spended in huge amount . for 3 months i see total more than 2millions coin. and its worth more than $2,6mio in current value. core team must be wise for every coins spended and i am sure by doing this price will easy to maintain. cmiiw

All I can answer for now is that I disagree with Ron’s interpretation.

But I’m quite sure that Ron told us on the general call a little earlier: “This is your Subgovernance and your team. Therefore, make your own decision inside the Subgovernance to get out of the conflict.”
