I’ve been thinking of a new name for our community as the ReBranding process begun.
The essence of our blockchain, as Mitja has described many times, is a “Global OS” & I thought it would be great if we could contain it in our new name, somehow.
then I came up with the name “Dios” which stands for “Decentralized International Operating system”. It also has a cool meaning in Spanish which refers to the “God”.
I’ve searched in CoinMarketCap, No matches for the “Dios” token or blockchain. I’ve also looked up in Google… No major & prominent company or organization with this name (There are some few ones but not in the crypto industry) and even if we can’t choose the Dios itself, I think we can add something like “Protocol” to the end of it.
I posted my idea on our community’s Telegram group & it had some positive feedback so I thought maybe we can consider it as a candidate for our Rebranding efforts.
BTW… One of our community members (Evgeny Nazarenko) suggested that we can use “Decentralized Internet Operating system”. I think that’s also cool & we can use that one to describe the Dios as well!
In my opinion, this is the best proposal that has been made during the entire discussion of the rebranding. The name is simple, memorable, reflects the idea and values of decentralization and free Internet. And it sounds ambitious.
It is also worth considering the following spellings:
DeOS (Decentralized OS)
DIOS / D.I.O.S (Decentralized Internet Operating System)
I like. Now this is my favorite. One name for both the network and the token. Bingo! Let’s rather try to find a consensus on this issue) Oh dios mio, Gus!
I support. But the spelling should be exactly in capital letters DIOS - Decentralized Internet Operating System

DIOSS - Decentralized Internet Operating Super System
Can you feel it? Lists? Voting? Polls? One person, a member of our community, just took and wrote his idea. Maybe it’s a picture, maybe it’s an inscription, maybe it’s a separate word, but quite by accident he received the support of tsome members from community. We talk about decentralization so often and maybe this will be another step towards realizing what it really is. Do you feel it now?
You can google when 4-character domains in these zones have sold out.
I think we can contact multiple domain owners. Negotiate, arrange the results of the negotiations as a competition. After transferring domain rights to affiliated community members, transfer funds to the domain owners.
The domain is not the most important, especially since there are free ones in different zones:
dios.community
dios.zone
There will be no instant transition. TON - Permeates algorithms, foundational documents and thoughts. It will be as it was with the logo. At first, no one accepted him, now he is in all information posts.
Hotheads accustomed to the rapid ups and downs of shitcoins should understand that we are dealing with a unique product at the very beginning of our journey.
The TON meritocracy, its absolute freedom and accessibility, was ahead of its time, and it takes time to understand this.
The community does not evolve with the networked ecosystem in other networks. The value of Free TON is that the community is an integral part of the network itself. Each of us must accept DIOS as a fact, only then will it become what Free TON is today.
I feel it the same way you do. We have become part of the dawn of something more than just another cryptocurrency project. We create value, but at the same time we feel our value.
We have to think of DIOS as a platform for the wildest ideas. Ideas are worthless, they come and go. But here one fresh thought can cause a chain reaction and a pearl will be born before your eyes.
