May was hot, because the authors of the articles did not sit idly and prepared a lot of new, interesting and useful material for Free TON Wiki Subgovernance.
Participants wishing to translate these and other articles into another language can get started. All materials approved by the editors for translation are listed in the «Approved for Translation» spreadsheet.
We have introduced an additional condition for authors and translators to make their interaction with the Wiki even better:
• In the «Needed articles» spreadsheet, next to the nickname, authors and translators need to indicate the date when the material was taken for work;
• the material reservation period is 60 days. At the end of this period, if the work is not completed, any author can take this material into work;
• the next author must publicly announce in chat that he or she is reserving an expired work, mentioning the editors @anesthesia_v, @amalfica, @ElsbethTheOne, @stop_think_ask in chat.
Until 25.06.21, 23:59 UTC:
• With «Content Creation» work type
• With «Translation» work type
Until 30.06.21, 23:59 UTC:
• Other types of work
Please note: the submission with a «content» work type must contain not only a screenshot of your User Report, but also a link to the Wiki-material (Wiki URL). Submissions that do not meet this requirement may receive a «Reject» on the vote!
We remind you that the submission may contain only one «Content Creation» or «Translation» work type with a corresponding link to the Wiki-material (Wiki URL). More details here.
We remind the authors of articles and translations that, in accordance with the Contest Rules, it’s recommended to submit the submissions with «Content Creation» or «Translation» work type by 25.06.21, 23:59 UTC.
Please note:
• the submission with a «content» type of work must contain not only a screenshot of your User Report, but also a link to the Wiki-material (Wiki URL).
• the submission may contain only one «Content Creation» or «Translation» work type with a corresponding link to the Wiki-material (Wiki URL). More details here.
The submissions that do not meet this requirement may receive a «Reject» on the vote.
Article authors and translators are often faced with the need to check whether or not material is available on Wiki before starting their work.
The first thing that comes to mind is to use the search bar at the top right, but this is the wrong approach, since sometimes not only English words are indicated in the titles of articles, so the search cannot return results for such pages.
The correct method of checking:
1. Find the Wiki side menu;
• on PC — on the left of the page;
• on mobile — at the bottom of the page; 2. Select the «All pages» menu item; 3. In the section that opens, check the article you are looking for.
Using this search method, the entire Wiki database is indexed, and members can be sure that no article will be hidden from their eyes.
June 28, 2020 is a significant day for Free TON Wiki, because that’s when the initiative group of enthusiasts registered the domain and started working on the site of the future encyclopedia.
Two months later, on August 24, 2020, the Wiki Subgovernance proposal was approved, making it the first Subgovernance in the Free TON ecosystem.
Over the past year, the Free TON Wiki has become a powerful free educational base for Free TON newcomers and bring great benefit to the community:
• 22 world languages;
• >100authors and translators;
• >350 articles and ~1000 pages;
• The total rewards amount was 291,521 TON;
• The Wiki Editorial Team presented Free TON at the SiGMA AIBC Dubai Show, the materials of the Wiki articles were used in the presentations by members of the event.
We wish the participants even more inspiration, opportunities, strength, free time, patience, positive mood and motivation to create new content! Thank you to everyone for your contribution!
There is very shortage of hindi authors and translators. I’m very surprised to wiki members behaviour to demotivate hindi authors. They should even encourage hindi authors rather than banning them.
If anyone participate first time in some type of wiki contest, then there may be some chances of mistakes during submissions but intentions during submission should be checked twice before any serious decision and even there are jury wiki members at last stage to check the value of contribution.
My claimed reward before review in submission and reward in user report after review are almost same, then how you can say that I had tried a cheat. Your charge against me are false. Master rule of Free TON project is rewarding people for there contribution and advanced revolution in Free TON is its governance (jury voting) to reward contributors. You are ignoring the value of jury voting in wiki governance and even you are challenging the whole Free TON ecosystem of governance that’s impossible to change currently.

In April, we introduced«editor tags» — short editorial comments at the bottom of an article, designed to help readers see the article’s relevance rating and encourage them to improve the material by joining the Wiki author team:
«The article needs editing». You can improve it; «The article is incomplete». You can add information; «The article was verified and approved for translation».
However, not all authors and translators have realized that only editors add tags to articles. Please do not add tags to the article yourself.
We are glad to announce that #26 WRC has been successfully completed. Congratulations to community members on well-deserved rewards!

Almost any Wiki material is supported by visuals: articles contain screenshots of the website, program or service interface, etc.
However, there is a significant problem — quite often the language of the visuals does not match the language of the article material.
That’s why we publish the rules for adding screenshots to articles:
• For screenshots with menus or captions, use the language you are translating into. If this is not possible, use English;
• Name the screenshots according to the language of the article;
• The original screenshot must be in a higher resolution than the preview. The text should be clear and easy to read;
• If the resolution of the picture or logo is small, you don’t need to enlarge the picture more than the preview;
• For translations that use Cyrillic, it is acceptable to use screenshots in both Russian and English.
Until 26.07.21, 23:59 UTC:
• With «Content Creation» work type
• With «Translation» work type
Until 31.07.21, 23:59 UTC:
• Other types of work
Please note: the submission with a «content» work type must contain not only a screenshot of your User Report, but also a link to the Wiki-material (Wiki URL). Submissions that do not meet this requirement may receive a «Reject» on the vote!
We remind you that the submission may contain only one «Content Creation» or «Translation» work type with a corresponding link to the Wiki-material (Wiki URL). More details here.
